Shae Wheeler is a Ph.D. student in the labs of Dr. John Belisle and Dr. Karen Dobos. Her research is focused on identifying biomarkers and pathways that can be used to differentiate between healthy patients and patients with asymptomatic and symptomatic clinical tuberculosis. She will also develop a lipidomic identification tool for both Mycobacterium abscessus and Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
