Veterinary assistants play a vital role in supporting patient care and helping our clinical teams operate efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with patient restraint and treatments
  • Monitoring patient vitals
  • Supporting client communication and education
  • Prescriptions
  • Assisting with cleaning, administrative, and clerical tasks

Veterinary assistants may also pursue certification that provides foundational training in veterinary medicine and animal care.

Our client services teams play a vital role in supporting patients, clients, referring veterinarians, and clinicians across the Veterinary Health System, including our hospitals and diagnostic laboratories. Through accurate data entry, clear communication, and thoughtful coordination, they help ensure clients receive timely information and a positive experience while supporting the smooth flow of daily operations. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to service excellence allow our clinical and laboratory teams to focus on delivering exceptional veterinary care and reliable diagnostic results.

The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory’s sample receiving team plays a critical role in ensuring specimens are safely and accurately processed for testing.

At the first point of contact for incoming samples, this team helps maintain quality, efficiency, and compliance across all laboratory sections. Their attention to detail supports timely testing, reliable diagnostic results, and exceptional service for veterinarians and clients.
