Dr. Duerr is a faculty member in the Small Animal Orthopedic Medicine and Mobility service at CSU. He is passionate about finding new treatment options for animals with mobility concerns. Dr. Duerr believes that translational, clinical research has the ability to not only improve the health of individual animals but also to make a difference for other pets and people. His passion is solving problems that impact quality of life related to musculoskeletal problems with a particular interest in osteoarthritis. Dr. Duerr completed his veterinary degree in Germany followed by internships in Canada and his surgery residency at CSU. He spent a number of years in private practice before returning to academia in 2011. He is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS), European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS), and the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (ACVSMR).
