About Elizabeth

Elizabeth Esdaile is a D.V.M.–Ph.D student in the Sones Laboratory at the CSU Adams Equine Reproduction Center. Prior to joining CSU, her research focused on genetic diversity in American Standardbreds and identifying genetic causes of coat color and disease in horses.

At CSU, her work has expanded to include studies of preeclampsia using a mouse model, as well as investigations into leptin biology in horses and the equine mare microbiome. She is also gaining hands-on experience in equine reproduction within a clinical setting.

Outside of research, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her dogs, exploring the mountains, and volunteering with access-to-care clinics.
